Professional Background
On one faithful day…
Dr. Irene was at a group gathering where a lot of friends, family, and kids attended. She was enjoying the relaxing vibe when a five-year-old boy suddenly started having seizures. His eyes rolled back. His limbs jerked. His tiny body shook as he incrementally slipped to the ground.
Time froze.
Fortunately, there was an acupuncturist at the party. She swiftly grabbed needles from her purse and efficiently placed a few needles on the little boy.
The boy stopped. Everything stopped. Time froze, again.
Suddenly, there was a loud burst of tears and the boy called out for his mother. A wave of relief washed over me. Dr. Irene released a breath that she didn't know she was holding so dearly to.
At this moment Dr. Irene realized that there might be something more to this ancient art called Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).
And, it propelled Dr. Irene to transition from her architectural engineering background to pursue a Master's degree in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Through intensive internships and mentorships in Beijing, she honed her skills, eventually culminating in a Doctorate in Acupuncture and Traditional Medicine.
She believes everyone deserves to be healthy, and TCM can help enhance people’s life. Even so, it can help regain one’s life back.
